I would like to thank everyone who participated in the discussion concerning the Live Feed feature available and used on some blogs. I appreciate all of your opinions and comments and taking part in the poll.
One thing I did notice was the fact that some of the blogs I have visited with the Live Feed feature in the past did not comment, and I respect that. I am sorry if I offended some of you. Being the curious type, I simply wanted to see if other people felt the same way about this subject as I do.

Recently, I have noticed that more and more blogs are including a Live Feed feature on their sidebars. My thought processes have been working overtime on this and I finally have concluded that I must ask …why?Why is there a need to know where your readers come from?In the interest of being fair, it is understandable and even fun to know how many people from different parts of the country or world may be reading what you write.I may lose some readers over this, but I find it invasive.If I want to visit a blog, I may not want others who visit the same blog to know exactly what town and state I live in.Don’t get me wrong, I am not running from the law and I am not paranoid, it’s just that I feel it is an invasion of my privacy.Normally, at home, I wear my tin foil hat to keep the government and aliens from reading my mind, but there is no tin foil coverage applicable for the internet.
When I first created my blog, I put my location as New England, because that is all I wanted known about where I lived and where my barn and horses were located. It’s just that I feel there is too much information readily available already via the internet.The truth of the matter is most everyone who reads my posts are all wonderful horse folk, but what about those who are not? There happens to be an awful lot of crazies in the world and I would rather they not have my name, rank and serial number.You will never see pictures of my grandkids on the net; many unscrupulous child abductors frequent the internet.
In conclusion, I am taking a poll on what my fellow bloggers think about this. Please participate in the poll and weigh in on the Live Feed aspect now in the blogosphere.
