" HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Happy New Year everyone!

We’d like to wish you all a very Happy Healthy New Year.  Let’s hope 2021 is better than this past year. There seems to be a light at the end of the dark tunnel we’ve been navigating through. So, I’m hopeful this will end soon, and we can all get back to our normal lives.

I don’t usually make New Year resolutions, but I’ve decided to jump in this year and make two. One is a “have to” and one is a “want to.”

“Have To”

It’s time to get serious about dieting and exercising regularly.  I’ve got to lose those extra “pandemic pounds” plus some.

“Want To”

This year I want to ride Rosie and Blue as much as possible, as long as Blue is up to it. I’m not getting any younger and neither is Blue. Rosie is up for anything, she’s still a youngster in my opinion.

Not a long list of resolutions but I’ve learned not to get too involved in making plans that may or may not be doable.

Quote for Today

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.

  1. Happy New Year!! I share in your get healthier-n-lose some weight for better riding. It is a wonderful thing and whatever we do can only help. That is a cool jumping photo! I never had the opportunity to get into jumping in my younger braver years, but imagine it feels like flying. Thanks for your blogger friendship over the years, so appreciated <3

  2. Hi aurora! Happy New Year to you and Brad. It’s time to get these extra pounds off! The horses will thank me. Last time I rode I think Rosie said “ could one of you get off my back!” About jumping, it was my favorite part of riding it’s a lot of fun. Haven’t done it in years though. Thanks for your friendship too! Have a great year.

  3. You and me both wrt resolutions. I already started my intensive diet regime (for reflux issues but also great for losing extra weight) and have lost 5 pounds since last week. I would also like to ride Cody this year. He’s 18 but healthy and the work is good for his PSSM. Dare I add two more resolutions? I would love to start teaching the pony to drive a small cart. Ditto Rafer Johnson. And finally, I aim to sign on for early a.m. writing time in 2021, maybe 3 mornings a week. That’s it for me. :) Happy happy new year to you and your family!
