There’s really not much going on around here except the day-to-day routine. Dusty had a slight flare up of her hind suspensory but she’s fine now. The summer is winding down and life around here is peaceful. I’ll post more when something interesting happens but until then I guess I’ll be absent for a while and simply enjoy the horses and life in general. Hope you’re all having wonderful rides and fun with your horses.

DeleteThe pond is on the property. The geese have taken it over and make a mess wherever they walk, especially the driveways. Careful where we walk because it's like a mine field!
My gosh, I think I could sit and stare at that every possible moment I had too! By all means enjoy all that is peaceful in your little bit of paradise there. So very pretty. I am very glad that Dusty's injury was short lived and she continues to be healthy and happy! Of course, good health to them all!

DeleteLovely photos of your lovely farm. We have a lot of nothing here as well. Took my son to college and am trying to manage how much I miss him. We're having 3 and 4-day stretches of cooler weather, then it returns to high 80s, low 90s for a stretch. As soon as the nights start reliably hitting the 50s I'm going to take the cue and get the Big Bay back into riding gear. (and myself - yesterday for the first time in a while I could feel myself in the saddle, posting Keil Bay's huge trot - usually that pulls me back to the riding life... :))

DeleteBeautiful shots! My blood pressure seems lower after just viewing them - thank you for sharing. Your grass is still so very green, this time of year our grass is dead and brown, crunchy and thirsting for the fall rains soon to come. We have cool weather grasses that thrive in all seasons except summer. I feel much the same as you, lazy days of summer and have no real desire to do much of anything. Wish I had some time off from work, I can envision myself floating in the pool, reading a good book and enjoying a glass of wine...doesn't that sound nice? No rest for the weary...or the wicked, apparently! :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos - I do love Dusty, she is so pretty! Hope her leg is ok... at least you are not overtaxing her with work by the sound of it! My guys have had a really easy time up to now, but it's cooling down and I want to get back in the saddle!
