Happy Mother's Day!
Meet
“Ginger” the new addition to our
family. She’s a red tri - color Australian Shepherd and
is 12 weeks old. I got her last week and
it has been very hectic dealing with puppy-hood again. Luckily, she’s (mostly)
trained and is starting to get the idea that going outside to go potty is the
right thing to do. Unfortunately,
morning potty time is around 5:30 and I’m not a 5:30 sort of person. But I’ll
deal with it until she can hold it longer.
In the meantime she’s a lot of fun with lots of energy. Right now she’s barking at the dog in the
glass fireplace doors.
Here are a few pictures:

Adorable. I used to have an Aussie with that coloring. Still miss him.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your guy. I still miss mine who have gone too. This is the first red tri I've ad all my others were black tri.
DeleteGinger is adorable, love her markings!! I am sure she will keep you on your toes!
ReplyDeleteShe is keeping me moving!
DeleteOH my gosh, the cuteness!!! She is beautiful. Ginger, you have just landed in the best family ever. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Billie. I'm afraid she may ge getting a little spoiled.
DeleteAawww she is too cute!!! Love her colouring, and her name. Look at that face, butter wouldn't melt :) Thanks for introducing her, and Happy Mother's Day (Ours is in March, always forget it's different in other parts of the world)
ReplyDeleteThanks Joy! And a Happy Belated Mother's Day to you.
Deleteoh I love Aussies! Congratulations. She looks smart which is good. mostly. once they grow up. well, good luck anyway. ;)
ReplyDeleteMe too! She's very smart for her age. Almost potty trained in a week and sits and cones when asked to.
DeleteOh dear, she's too cute!! It's a good thing, too, helps you laugh off all the puppy antics! She has come to a wonderful home!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. And yes it's a good thing she's cute! She gets away with a lot.
Deleteoh my gosh! I love aussies. I am watching a mini version right now for a friend and my beloved 14 yr old is an aussie cross. :)
ReplyDeleteI love them too. This is Aussie number four fr us.
DeleteA DOR A BLE! Is she with you or at the farm?
ReplyDeleteShe's with me at home but she loves to visit Gunnar at the farm. She terrorizes him.
DeleteThanks Annette!
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful!!! Puppies are just the thing to add in some fun, get our butts up and moving when we'd rather not, and fantastic entertainment. Kinda like looking at the world through a child's eyes. Congratulations on the new family member, and she is totally adorable! Bet she'll keep you on your toes. :)
ReplyDeleteShe starts keeping me moving at around 5:30 in the morning. I could wait for the adorableness to start a teeny bit later though. She is fun.
DeleteCUTENESS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you CFS! Right now she's biting my toes.
DeleteAussies are such clever dogs too! She's a looker, for certain. If you've ever had a desire to try agility, the aussies I've known have positively excelled at sport games of all kinds.
ReplyDeleteI've had three Aussies previously and they were all very smart. Agility is great for them, unfortunately I,m not as agile as I could be lately! Don't know if I could keep up with her doing that.
DeleteAll the Aussies I have known have been lovely, intelligent dogs with super dispositions. Looks like you have a future star there...and apparently a knitter. She has good taste in yarn color...or is that just yarn that tastes good. *lol*
ReplyDeleteEnjoy her. She is adorable.
Thanks Jean. My three Aussies have been super smart and sweet. So far Ginger seems to be following in the steps of her predecessors. I just don't remember my other dogs being so talented in the knitting department!
