Unfortunately, the reality is we really don't have the room or time for more right now. That doesn't stop me thinking though which could be a ad thing! When those thoughts creep into my head (and they frequently do) I always ask myself - is it fair to the animals we already have? Sometimes the answer is yes, but most of the time reality sets in and the answer is no. We are not animal flippers. When we welcome any type of animal into our family, they stay until we can no longer give them quality of life. With all that said, if you have room in your life there are plenty that would be sooo lucky to become part of your herd! Hay, a girls gotta dream at any age!! Keeps us young at heart :)aurorahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04731529798233954353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-367127003525577065.post-76553162163430132522016-04-07T17:41:37.309-04:002016-04-07T17:41:37.309-04:00Thank you for your kind thoughts. We only have a six stall barn and when I still had Dusty we made a stall for Sami in the grooming stall. Now each horse has a proper stall. I honestly don't know if I could effectively train a young horse any more. I'm not as agile as I used to be! When our older ones pass, which may never happen, by the looks of it, I do want to get at least one more solid trail horse--the kind anyone can ride and feel safe. It's tough when you make a commitment to keep the ones you have forever--only because they do become unrideable and you have a need for riding, but no more room to keep a new one. I have to admit, though, I do like the idea of you getting another.
