Is It Still Winter?
It sure is. Although we’ve only got a few more weeks to go until Spring, this winter is getting really old. I’m not feeling the love of the glistening snowflakes falling from the heavens to coat the ground with its magical presence anymore. Or the outrageously freezing temperatures that make you stop and check your fingers and toes to make sure you don't have frostbite.
Last week the automatic waterer in Dusty's stall burst and flooded her bedding etc. Of course, the best time to find this out was at night during bring in. The whole stall had to be stripped, the water shut off and buckets filled etc. Luckily, the plumber came the next day and fixed it. Burst pipes are just one of the joys of winter I can't wait to leave behind.
Haven't been doing much horse-wise either. It's okay though; the horses have given me permission to take the winter off and get myself in better shape. The only thing they require from me is occasional grooming and non- stop treats. I can do that.

I think Murphy's expression pretty much says it all!
