More Cuteness!

There's nothing much going on around here just the usual day to day living.  We seem to have had an explosion of babies lately so I'm posting a few pictures of the baby geese today.

After I got finished dragging all the arenas and was walking back from the garage I heard this god-awful screeching going on.  Then saw Mama Fox come running up the side of the pond.  My guess is she was trying for some hot lunch for her and the kids.  Apparently, the geese had other ideas and her mission was aborted.

She is getting used to us day by day.  I think she stopped and posed for this picture on purpose. We wound up criss-crossing paths all day.  She's fond of checking out the barn and the feed shed too.

Until next time

  3. Oh my, that little goose family is just adorable!! And, the fox is very pretty too. I love seeing wildlife. Your grounds are just lovely!! Yesterday on the local news in downtown Portland, there was a momma duck w/5 babies going down the sidewalk headed towards the river. Several people made the trip with them, making sure she crossed all the roads safely. It was so cute!!

Included with this post are 2 personal recipes that was sent to me by Peters wife Diane, so please stop by and say hello and share your memories of this classic TV show. Richard

  8. Foxie is getting bold!

We've had long lines of traffic stop around here once in a while to let the goslings cross a road.

And, there a road just across the woods that gets closed down every year so the spotted salamanders can safely cross the road on their annual migration. (February, this year.) It's a big event and people show up with flashlights in the dark of night to spot the spotted critters.

  12. You're surrounded by so much beauty. I love your pictures. A fox will be a fox, but glad she didn't get the hot meal.

  14. Man... I'm so jealous of those beautiful grounds and gates. And foxes and geese (although that last combination probably isn't ideal for the geese). Too beautiful and cute. Very, very lovely :-)
